Summary of Spring Revolution Daily News
Despite his promise to protect the safety of Chinese projects and Chinese employees, most of Chinese projects in Myanmar have fallen into the hands of the revolution forces one after another. Consequently, the Chinese government will have to hold talks with revolution organizations, pushing the military junta aside.

1. The National Unity Government (NUG)
In a previous government meeting, Union Prime Minister of the NUG Man Win Khine Than stated that the international community, with concerns for Myanmar’s affairs, had less trust in regards to whether the revolution organizations would be able to control the country.
No. (1) Military Region announced that 18 junta soldiers had died and 22 weapons had been confiscated along with the money worth over 340 lakh MMK whereas 4 revolutionaries had lost their lives in the battle to seize the town of Dibeyin in Sagaing Region.
In Tada-U Township of Mandalay Region, the People’s Defence Forces (PDFs) managed to seize the junta’s Air Defence Army and raised their flag.
In the battle in Dibeyin, the revolution forces rescued 20 detainees.
In Natoegyi Township, the junta army conducted an aerial bombing on the neighbourhood of the local monastery in Kun Ohn Village, killing a man and leaving 4 others and a monk injured.
2. Revolution Activities
In Kalay Township of Sagaing Region, there was an attack on a junta troop which had set fire to over 30 houses in Thone Eain Su Village and Shardaw Village. Reportedly, there were a large number of casualties among junta soldiers and the junta army had to retreat.
In Indaw Township of Sagaing Region, the road sections of Myitkyina-Mandalay and Indaw, which had been blocked off during local battles, were reopened.
In Kalay Township, there was a local battle between the PDFs and the junta army on Tuesday.
In Pakkoku Township of Magway Region, there was an attack on the junta’s Thar Gyi Taung Police Camp on Tuesday morning. Reportedly, 5 junta soldiers died, 2 others raised the white flag and another one was caught alive.
On Tuesday morning, there were attacks via heavy weapons on the junta armed forces in Yesagyo and Pakkoku Technological University. Reportedly, no less than 6 junta soldiers died.
In Yesagyo Township, the junta army and Pyusawti Militia left their camp in Hinthar Village and ran away.
In a battle in Yesagyo, the junta army indefinitely shot mortars, killing 2 monks and 4 civilians.
In Taungoo of Bago Region, there were attacks using 107mm grenades on the junta’s air force on Tuesday.
In Phyuu Township, there was a local battle near Laitpaw Village and Setgone Village. Reportedly, 7 junta soldiers including an officer died.
On Monday, the United Nations stated that 18.6 million people in Myanmar including the displaced are in need of humanitarian assistance.
In the meeting with the UN’s Special Envoy to Myanmar, the Foreign Minister of China claimed that they did not interfere with Myanmar’s internal affairs. He added that China is willing to take part in the peace process and national reconciliation in Myanmar with respect of Myanmar’s sovereignty and they want Myanmar to be stable more than others.
3. Ethnic Armed Organizations (EAOs)
In Tigyaint Township of Sagaing Region, the revolution forces attacked the junta’s Myataung Camp on Wednesday morning. Reportedly, the junta navy conducted aerial bombings, according to the Kachin Independence Army.
In Hsipaw of Northern Shan State, Ta’ang National Liberation Army seized all the junta’s departments in town. Reportedly, they have been making an effort for administration and the rule of law.
In Thanglang of Chin State, there has been heavy fighting between the junta army and Chin State Council Forces. Reportedly, the junta soldiers used the support of the air force and heavy weapons.
Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army stated that they would support over 30% for the costs to repair the houses which had been damaged in the battle to seize Lashio.
4. The Military Council
In Natoegyi Township of Mandalay Region, the junta army conducted three aerial bombings on Letwe Myinni Village on Wednesday afternoon. Reportedly, a local woman was injured and a monastery and a school got damaged.
On Tuesday morning, the junta troops raided Shardaw Village and Thone Eain Su Village. Reportedly, they set fire to the public’s houses.
In Dibeyin of Sagaing Region, the junta armed forces set fire to people’s houses on Monday and Tuesday. Reportedly, the dead bodies of junta soldiers were cremated in the school and the football ground.
The junta’s railway service claimed that passenger trains resumed on Pathein-Hinthada-Kyankhine Route as the flooding level had lowered.
The spokesperson of the junta’s Health Ministry claimed that there were strict inspection at the border areas so that Monkey Pox could not enter the country.
On 24 August, there would reportedly be a meeting between the junta’s Union Election Commission and registered political parties.
In Pinlaung Township of Southern Shan State, the Pa-O National Army under the military junta, along with Naungtayar residents, completed a military training with 10,000 trainees for self-defence in the area.
The junta leader Min Aung Hlaing received the credentials of new Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar. He also promised that they would protect Chinese projects and Chinese staff to the best of their ability.
